• Describe the development and implementation of a MTP in a pediatric hospital.
• Discuss the similarities and differences between older and newer MTPs.
• Explain the various MTP options and their efficacy in pediatric population.
• Predict the future practice of care of pediatric MTPs.

Program Description

This program will discuss a variety of pediatric massive transfusion practices/protocols (MTP) from several hospitals. The discussion will focus on the differences in each protocols' approach. Strategies will be compared and contrasted in an effort to provide insight into which designs are best based on the population and how each design can be incorporated and utilized.
