Program Description: Preparedness is important to maintaining smooth operations in facilities and laboratories always and greatly emphasized in emergency situations. This program will discuss emergency management - identifying challenges and how to deal with such situations as hurricanes, floods, fires, snow and international threats. The program will:

  • Review communication options and related challenges.
  • Review Human Resource management and related challenges.
  • Review supply and materials management and related challenges.
  • Address recovery plans.
  • Discuss new technologies such as drones and telemedicine.
How to Claim CE Credit

  • Single Viewers: if you registered as a single viewer, complete the evaluation found on the "CE Information" tab after watching the video. By submitting the evaluation, you are attesting to watching the presentation in its entirety.
  • Group Viewers: if your group/facility registered for group viewing for this on-demand eCast, you do not need to complete the evaluation on the "CE Information" tab. Group Viewing participants will be granted CE (if applicable) after viewing the presentation, completion of the attendance log with all requested information and Group Viewing Coordinators submission of the attendance log to AABB within 72 hours of the completion/viewing date. Group Viewing Coordinators should submit the completed attendance log to eLearning@aabb.org. Participants on the attendance log will receive via email a program evaluation to complete within 5-7 business days after AABB’s receipt of the attendance log. Continuing education credit certificates will be emailed to the participants with a copy to the Group Viewing Coordinator no sooner than 31 days but not longer than 6 weeks from the completion/viewing date.
