Dr. Horwitz has been at Duke since 2003. He is a professor of medicine and director of adult blood and marrow transplant program, within the Division of Hematologic Malignancy and Cell Therapy. He is an active clinical investigator with research that focuses on adult umbilical cord blood transplantation and post transplant immune recovery. He is a member of the steering committee for the Bone Marrow Transplantation Clinical Trials Network, an NIH-sponsored consortium of stem cell transplant experts who design and conduct cutting edge clinical research.
