Dr. Nguyen is currently Director of Centre for Health Technologies and Professor of Predictive Medicine of UTS, and Conjoint Professor of the School of Population Health, UNSW Sydney. Apart from his primary research in osteoporosis, he has expertise in clinical trial design and large-scale epidemiological research. He is passionate about the application of Bayesian idea in the analysis and interpretation of clinical research. He has authored more than 320 peer-reviewed publications in mostly top tier journals, including Nature, Nature Genetics, BMJ, Lancet, and NEJM. He is among the world's most-cited researchers. He is an elected Fellow of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research, and elected Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences.
