Kathleen E Puca MD, MT(ASCP)SBB

Dr. Kathy Puca is senior medical director with the Medical Sciences Institute at BloodCenter of Wisconsin which is part of Versiti and associate professor of pathology at Medical College of Wisconsin. Her main responsibilities include medical direction for transfusion services and currently she is Medical Director of Transfusion Service and Autologous HPC Processing Lab for Marshfield Labs, part of Marshfield Clinic Health System in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Dr. Puca is an active AABB assessor and has served on a number of AABB committees including the Hemovigilance, Patient Blood Management Standards and Patient Blood Management Education Committees. Dr. Puca actively promotes blood management activities including evaluation of appropriate blood utilization, recognition and reporting of adverse events, and education of nurses and providers on these topics.
