Brian Bautista

Brian Bautista brings a diverse set of leadership and problem-solving experiences to the Blood Industry. He has depth in leading teams and strategic thinking across operations, marketing, sales and corporate strategy. He recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at Versiti overseeing Blood Operations and for the past 7 years has focused on establishing operational and customer service excellence in the largest independent blood center in the Midwest as Versiti continues to grow. Brian has spent over 25 years as a change agent and servant leader in healthcare with a focus on rare diseases and plasma-derived therapies. Throughout his assignments at Abbott, Abbvie, Baxalta and Shire, Brian has demonstrated a track record of high achievement and delivering results by building high-performing teams and inspiring leaders.

Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Brian attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for his undergraduate studies, earned a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy and completed his MBA at the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Brian and his wife, Thrisha, make a home in Mundelein, IL where they spend most of their time coaching and cheering for their 3 children on the hockey rink, basketball court or soccer field. Brian also enjoys traveling and playing golf.
