Herleen Rai MD

Dr. Herleen (Sofi) Rai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and serves as Associate Director of the Clinical Pathology Residency Training Program. Dr. Rai obtained her MD from Ross University School of Medicine and completed her residency training in Clinical Pathology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine/ University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. This was followed by a two-year fellowship in Transfusion Medicine at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). As a faculty member of the Division of Transfusion Medicine, her areas of interest include stem cell and immune effector cell therapies, with a focus on apheresis collection and manufacturing. She serves as the Associate Medical Director for Apheresis at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and has recently joined AABB’s e-Learning Committee.
