Dr. Hofmann is Clinical Professor, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of California, San Francisco, and core faculty of the UCSF Cell Therapy-Transfusion Medicine Fellowship Program. He is an expert in the field of apheresis medicine with a focus on the utilization and efficacy of therapeutic plasma exchange in sepsis/multi-organ failure and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome.
