MC. Isabel Castro is the current president of the Mexican Association of Transfusion Medicine. He works as a consultant and independent consultant in several companies in the area of Transfusion Medicine. MC. Isabel Castro graduated from the National School of Biological Sciences and received its title of Lic. In Bacteriologist and Parasitologist, he completed a postgraduate degree in Biological Sciences in 1998 and another in Education Sciences in 2018. It is certified in the EC0217 Competence Standard for the Delivery of courses in person group. She has 34 years of experience in Blood Bank in different governmental and private institutions, was head of Laboratory of the National Blood Transfusion Center and Manager of Blood Bank in the commercial industry. • Participation as an attendee to more than 150 national and international events such as Congresses, Symposium, Workshops and Conferences • Professor of the Diploma in Transfusion Medicine which is endorsed by the National Autonomous University of Mexico and assistant professor in workshops and courses in different subjects in Transfusion Medicine. • Speaker in different areas and forums of Transfusion Medicine and Clinical Laboratory • Participation in research and presentation of free papers in different National and International forums • Thesis Director for students of the Specialty in Transfusion Medicine and undergraduate students of the Chemistry area • Co-author in 2 books of Transfusion Medicine and Immunohematology • Member of Asociación Mexicana de Medicina Transfusional (AMMTAC) founding member. • Founding member of the Mexican College of Sciences of the A.C. • Member of International Blood Bank Association (ISBT)
