May Daher, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Department at MD Anderson Cancer Center. May is also the Associate Director of Translational Research in the Department of Stem Cell Transplantation and the Associate Director of the Cell Engineering Group in the GMP facility. May received her M.D. degree at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon with Distinction, after which she completed an Internal Medicine residency program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and a fellowship training program in Hematology and Medical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center with a focus on cancer immunology, cellular therapy and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. She then worked in the laboratory of Dr. Katy Rezvani on a post doctoral fellowship where she worked on advancing the field of CAR-NK cell therapy. Her work focuses on developing novel cellular therapies and applying innovative genetic manipulation techniques to further enhance the anti-tumor activity of NK cells. She is further involved in studying the efficacy of such engineered NK cells in allogeneic stem cell transplantation models.
