Osayi Ogieva MPH, CCIP

Osayi Ogieva holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Simon Fraser University in B.C., a Certificate of Infection Prevention and Control from Queens University in ON, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Igbinedion University in Nigeria. She holds a Canadian Certified Inclusion Professional (CCIP) designation from the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI) and has over thirteen years' experience advancing and integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and processes within healthcare, academic, and not-for-profit organizations.

Osayi applies a social determinants of health (SDOH), anti-racist, and anti-oppressive approaches to fostering equity and inclusion in the workplace and community. She joined Canadian Blood Services in 2022 and has held several senior leadership positions including her current role as director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. In her work at Canadian Blood Services, Osayi has played key roles in cross-divisional initiatives that advance equity-deserving groups and communities. Osayi is also a member of the AABB DEIA committee.
