Sandy has been involved in Transfusion Medicine going on 22 years now & lab management for 19 years. She graduated West Texas A&M University with a B.S.M.T. in 2002 and obtained her SBB certification in 2008. Sandy is currently the Director of Reference & Transfusion Laboratory Services for Carter BloodCare and resides over an AABB accredited Immunohematology Reference Laboratory (IRL), an AABB Accredited Molecular Testing laboratory & 3 AABB accredited Transfusion Service laboratories. Sandy participates in several professional activities (including but not limited to): committee member on several AABB, ARDP and SCABB committees and is an AABB Assessor. She loves networking and sharing ideas with others.
