Dr Saptarshi Mandal, is a Physician Scientist with dual physician license in USA and India. He did his Fellowship in Blood Bank and Transfusion Medicine from Univ of Chicago. Also he has done Residency in Clinical Pathology from University of Chicago, and Medical School (MBBS) from AIIMS New Delhi, the topmost medical college of India. He did an MS Biological Sciences from Stanford University. He has been Speaker at AABB 2019, ASFA 2023, AACC 2018, ADLM 2023, TMAS, ISTM, ISBTI etc. He has presented many times at ASFA on several aspects of Lab monitoring in Apheresis. He has presented on Transfusion and Apheresis Interferences in Lab medicine at AACC/ADLM which was featured in CLN (Clinical Lab News) Daily covering ADLM 2023 meeting. He is the author of Chapter 1 Basic Science of Principles of Apheresis Technology, 8th ed by ASFA.
