Shraddha Babariya MD

Dr. Shraddha Babariya completed her Pathology Residency at Drexel (Hahnemann University Hospital) and BB/TM Fellowship from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She joined the American Red Cross in 2020 as the Regional Medical Director for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Region and CLIA Laboratory Director for the Philadelphia laboratories. Currently, Dr. Babariya is the Executive Medical Director supporting Laboratory Services. In her role, she advocates for integrating the Medical Office and Laboratory Services and is committed to fostering a strong collaborative environment as a strategic partner. She provides expert support and consultations across a spectrum of specialized testing fields, including immunohematology, molecular diagnostics, histocompatibility, and platelet serology. Dr. Babariya actively participates in developing and refining laboratory assays, laboratory services, and product offerings. She is passionate about quality improvement and constructing processes that boost productivity and efficiency and streamline complex patient testing with comprehensive result reporting. She is committed to ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards set forth by CLIA, AABB, FDA, and various state entities.
