Suchitra Pandey MD
Clinical Professor/CMO, Standford University/Stanford Blood Center
Dr Suchi Pandey is currently Chief Medical Officer for the Stanford Blood Center and is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Pathology at Stanford University’s School of Medicine. She provides medical oversight and direction to the Stanford Blood Center and is an attending physician in the Transfusion Service at Stanford Health Care and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. Dr Pandey’s interests include donor health, transfusion medicine education, leukapheresis, and expanding the Blood Center’s role in research and public health initiatives. Dr Pandey serves on AABB's Transfusion Transmitted Disease Committee and Blood Bank and Transfusion Service Standards Committee. She also currently serves as an industry representative on FDA's Blood Product Advisory Committee (BPAC) and as a public member on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Advisory Committee on Blood and Tissue Safety and Availability (ACBTSA). Dr Pandey is originally from the Philadelphia area and received her MD degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. She did her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of California, San Diego and completed a Transfusion Medicine fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco and Blood Centers of the Pacific. She is Board Certified in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology and in Transfusion Medicine.
