Dr. Victoria Costa is Assistant Medical Director of the Blood Bank at NYU Langone Health, Tisch Hospital and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. She is also Medical Director of the 34th Street and 38th Street Clinical Labs at NYU Langone Health Perlmutter Cancer Center. She completed her medical education at the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences, residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center and Transfusion Medicine/Blood Banking fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital, during which time she developed an interest in becoming an academic Transfusion Medicine physician. She is passionate about education, particularly for medical students and residents. She is an active member of multiple professional organizations and committees, including multiple subsections of AABB, Education Committee of Blood Banks Association of New York State, and multiple committees of American Society for Apheresis.
