Session Description: Health disparities and inequities are deeply rooted in historical, cultural and institutional structures leading to longstanding disadvantages for Black, Indigenous, LatinX and diverse communities. In this presentation I will focus on challenges that perpetuate systemic racism and bias that limit equitable access to care, describe a process to advance health equity that organizations can adopt and highlight that diversity and inclusion are fundamental to advancing health equity for all communities.
