Christopher Tormey MD

I am a Professor of Laboratory Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine where I am also the Director of Transfusion Medicine & Apheresis Services for Yale-New Haven Hospital. As part of my clinical duties I also assist in the interpretation of laboratory Hematology tests such as smear morphology, coagulation studies, hemoglobin analysis, and flow cytometry. My research interests include: alloimmunization to blood group antigens and exploring the interface between transfusion practice and coagulation testing.
