Jose Mauro Kutner MD

Jose M Kutner is a clinical hematologist / blood banker , who received his MD degree at University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1984. He performed his Internal Medicine and Hematology/Blood Banking residencies at the same University finishing them in 1988. After that he had further training at the New York Blood Center, where he completed the Blood Bank Directors' Training Program. Back to Brazil he worked at the Sao Paulo Blood Center where he managed the Clinical Dept. A PhD in Hematology/Hemotherapy was obtained also at University of Sao Paulo in 1998. Since 1993 Dr Kutner has been working at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, as a Clinical Hematologist and at the Blood Bank. Since 2008 he is the Medical Head of the Hemotherapy and Cell Therapy Dept at the same Hospital. He also participates as an institutional member at the Biomedical Excellence for Safer Transfusion (BEST Collaborative).Dr Kutner has participated as author or co-author on various technical publications in his field.
