Andie Pahomi, MSTM, MLS(ASCP)CMSBBCM is the manager of the Versiti, Illinois Immunohematology Reference Laboratory. Andie obtained her undergraduate degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences at Benedictine University, attended the Specialist in Blood Banking program at Versiti, and earned her master's degree in Transfusion Medicine at Marquette University. She worked as a medical laboratory scientist generalist in the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital laboratory for four years before becoming their transfusion service lead technologist for three years. Andie then joined Versiti as a Senior Scientist for one and a half years before becoming the manager in the end of 2022. Andie is currently on the board of the Illinois Association of Blood Banks serving as Member-At-Large. She taught the Clinical Immunohematology rotation for the Myron E. Rubnitz, M.D. School of Medical Laboratory Science for three years prior to joining Versiti where she has created an internal education and training program to allow for eligible employees to challenge the ASCP Board of Certification Technologist in Blood Banking exam.
