This is the time to show off your blood bank knowledge with your participation in a challenging blood bank game show! In the spirit of friendly competition, multiple-choice questions will be presented to the audience in categories corresponding to the SBB and BB Exam Content Outline. Responses will be tallied by audience response technology allowing participants to be part of the ACTION! The questions range from the esoteric to basic blood bank knowledge, inviting all levels of AABB attendees to get involved in this fun and challenging session. The technology tracks the scores of the participants leading to a champion of this epic and energizing interactive session.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the blood bank methods, details and practices aid in patient care daily.
  • Recognize and analyze various patient cases scenarios in the transfusion medicine to determine best “next steps” for resolution of situation.
  • Explore content and didactics covered on the BB and SBB Certification exams.
  • Apply basic and advance transfusion medicine knowledge to formulate best actions for laboratory testing and patient’s clinical care.
