D. Joe Chaffin MD

Dr. Joe Chaffin is a Transfusion Medicine Educator at Loma Linda University in Southern California. He is best known as the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the "Blood Bank Guy" website (BBGuy.org). For the past 25 years, he has used virtual and live teaching to accomplish his professional passion of teaching the essentials of Transfusion Medicine to learners everywhere. He started the "Blood Bank Guy Essentials Podcast" in 2016 to expand his educational mission. Dr. Chaffin is board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine.
