Dr. David Unold serves as Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor at UC Davis, Sacramento and believes in providing evidence-based and cost-effective patient care. His specialties include transfusion medicine, apheresis, and special coagulation. His interests are in the diagnosis and treatment of bleeding and clotting disorders. Dr. Unold is board certified by the American Board of Pathology, Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine, Board Certified, 2014; American Board of Pathology, Clinical Pathology, Board Certified, 2014; and, CA Medical Board, License, Licensed, 2014. He received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from Marquette University, his medical doctorate from the Medical College of Wisconsin, and completed his residency in pathology at Baystate Medical Center/Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Unold completed a fellowship in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital. His professional memberships include the American Society for Apheresis, American Society for Clinical Pathology, Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies, Christian Medical and Dental Association, and the College of American Pathologists.
