Minh-Ha Tran DO

Professor, UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, IRVINE

Dr. Tran completed medical school at Western University of Health Sciences. He went on to complete a traditional osteopathic rotating internship at St John Westshore Hospital (now UH St John) followed by internal medicine residency training at Pittsburgh Mercy Health System (now UPMC Mercy). Following residency, he completed a Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine fellowship at National Institutes of Health. As medical director of the Transfusion Medicine service at the University of California Irvine, where he currently works, Dr. Tran has established the UCI Campus Blood Donor Center and was part of the core working group that brought up the FACT-accredited UCI Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant/Cellular Therapy Program. He serves as a valued clinical consultant for complex immunohematology and therapeutic apheresis cases and oversees peripheral blood stem cell collections and cellular therapy collections.
