Dr. Timothy Hilbert is the Medical Director of the Blood Bank at NYU Langone Health, Tisch Hospital and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He is also Medical Director of the Clinical Laboratory of the New York State Office of Mental Health at the Nathan Kline Institute. He completed his medical education at the NYU School of Medicine, a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center and a fellowship Transfusion Medicine/Blood Banking at the New York Blood Center and has focused his career in Transfusion Medicine and Apheresis. He is actively involved in the education of residents and hospital staff and is active member of multiple professional organizations and committees, including the AABB. He serves as the Chair of the New York State Council on Human Blood and Transfusion and the SE NY Regional Commissioner for the College of American Pathologists.
